Jason Hultgren is a mechanical engineering student at San Jose State University with a passion for the Lord and transformed relationships. His parents, Craig and Athena, co-founded Relate 20/20, a non-profit that uses tools for conflict resolution and finding identity in God. Jason is a conversation coach in Relate 20/20 and regularly uses the tools that transformed his parent’s marriage 10 years ago. However, Jason wasn’t always on fire for the Lord. During his first semester of college, he got involved in partying, drinking, and drugs. One night Jason had a transformational experience and came back to the Lord, much like the Prodigal Son in the Bible. He now has a vision to see his campus reached for Christ and longs to see his friends growing in their relationship with God and each other.
Favorite Bible verse: Isaiah 61:1-3
The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.
