He’s the God of the Impossible (Prayers & Declarations)

Is there a desire in your heart that feels “impossible” to you?

Don’t be afraid to trust God to do the impossible in your life—the beautifully outrageous.

He’s been known to stop the sun in the sky (Josh. 10:12–14).

He’s the God who raises the dead (2 Kings 4:32–35).

This week at BTO, we’re praying for you and the “impossible” things God’s put on your heart. May you be able to trust Him in all things and with all things, including your hopes and dreams.

Read the following declarations out loud:

1. Today I choose to trust the Lord with this desire: ________________. I know He is faithful and will take good care of what I’ve set in His hands.

O my people, trust in him at all times.
Pour out your heart to him,
for God is our refuge. (Ps. 62:8 NASB)

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7 NIV)

The Bible says we are precious in God’s sight, and when something is “precious,” it is dearly loved and closely guarded.

Pray about your hopes and dreams with these truths in mind:

  • The Lord cares for His people (Ps. 55:22).

  • He is gentle, tender, and faithfully just (Isa. 42:3).

  • Those who trust in Him will never be ashamed (Ps. 25:3).

2. Today I choose to look at the Lord instead of my fears. I give Him my focus. Fear has no power in my life, and I don’t have to pay attention to anything it says.

Those who look to him are radiant;
their faces are never covered with shame. (Ps. 34:5)

In Psalm 34:5 we see the outcome of trusting in the Lord with all our hearts. When we choose to look at Him, it changes something inside us. That inside work is so powerful that other people can see it—we become RADIANT.

Think about what radiant means—so much joy, so much hope, so much fearlessness, so much courage. Everything is different when we choose to focus on the Lord instead of our fears.

Pray about your hopes and dreams with these truths in mind:

  • God is our glory (Isa. 60:19).

  • God is our strength (Ps. 18:1).

  • God is our hope (Rom. 15:13).

3. Today I choose to live according to the ways of God, not the ways of the world. I belong to Jesus and am a child of the King, and the limits and boundaries set by man do not apply to me.

The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. (Deut. 28:7)

Nothing is impossible for God! (Luke 1:37 CEV)

Just because something SEEMS impossible doesn’t mean it IS impossible. Not where God is concerned.

Certain dreams and promises of God might even seem outrageous to you, yet that’s what He does. Many things are “outrageous” with Him because He’s the Worker of miracles—of impossible things made possible.

Pray about your hopes and dreams with these truths in mind:

  • The Lord is faithful (Ps. 100:5).

  • He is good and full of love (Ex. 34:6).

  • Nothing is too hard for Him (Gen. 18:14).

  • He’s able to do far more than we could ever ask or think (Eph. 3:20).

Here’s our prayer for you this week:

Dear Father,

It’s a beautiful thing to remind ourselves of who You are—this is a good practice for our hearts. Your works are wonderful, and we love watching as You do amazing things on our behalf.

For our readers who need to remember who You are this week, may their hearts be soft and tender toward You. Please bring to their memory the truth of Your Word, and help them to keep their eyes on You. You are peace when we’re afraid and strength when we’re shaking. The God of the miraculous is who You are, and we can expect You to work out all things for our good.

— The BTO Team

Before you go!

What “good works” are on your heart? What do you want to accomplish?

We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it! (Eph. 2:10 TPT)

The next time fear tries to whisper to you, boldly turn your attention to God. Declare out loud, “No, I am not listening to fear today. I choose to trust in God with all my heart. I believe what He says, and I do not place any confidence in the voice of fear. I am fearless. That is how my heavenly Father made me.”

May your week overflow with peace as you trust the Lord simply and beautifully.
