MONDAY

Blessed Are Those Who Trust Him

Psalm 112:1 (TLB)

For all who fear God and trust in him are blessed beyond expression.

Jeremiah 17:7 (NASB)

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord
And whose trust is the Lord.

Those who trust the Lord are blessed.

In other words, when we choose to trust Him, something changes and blessing comes to us. As believers in Jesus, most of us are familiar with the idea of trusting the Lord, but we don’t always consider the benefits that come with trusting Him. Trusting the Lord isn’t just something we “do.” Our trust in Him produces a blessing “beyond expression.”

Today’s prayer: Father God, I want to trust You the way Psalm 112:1 talks about. In the areas where I’m afraid, please bring Your wisdom. Where I don’t know what to do, I choose to hold on to You. Help me to see what trusting You really looks like in my life and how it changes things. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Monday be blessed, and this week may you get to experience the awesome results of trusting the Lord.

TUESDAY

Blessed Are Those Who Follow His Leading

Isaiah 48:17 (NIV)

This is what the Lord says—
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.”

When we mess up and land in a dark place full of shame, sin, regret, and discouragement, God is the holy Redeemer who knows what we need.

He is also the God who knows the way we should go. The way that maintains our freedom. The way that benefits the people around us. The way that allows us to be the best version of ourselves. The way of abundant life (John 10:10). In this hard, fear-filled season, He wants to teach us what is best for us and show us the next steps to take.

Today’s prayer: Father God, how are You leading me right now? Is there a way You want me to take? You are the Lord of my life. Please come and teach me what is best for me. Lead me in the way I should go. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Tuesday be blessed, and may you experience in a tangible way the precious leading of God this week.

WEDNESDAY

Blessed Are Those Who Wait for Him

Psalm 62:5 (NLT)

Let all that I am wait quietly before God,
for my hope is in him.

When God asks us to wait for something, He’s actually asking us to go on an adventure with Him that is sacred and special and holy. Waiting doesn’t always match up with our human-made plans, but in the wait there is significant blessing if we’re willing to see it.

If you’re waiting for something right now, don’t allow discouragement to have a seat in your car! Lock the doors against it, and set your gaze on Jesus.

Today’s prayer: Father God, You have asked me to wait for this: ____________. I choose to trust You with this thing that is dear to my heart. Please help me to see the blessing hidden inside this waiting time, and thank You that the wait is never wasted with You. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Wednesday be blessed, and may your heart be refreshed as you wait side by side with the Lord.

THURSDAY

Blessed Are Those Who Know the Proper Order of Things

Psalm 16:2 (NASB)

I said to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good besides You.”

When we put the Lord first in our lives, everything changes. We were created to belong to Him, and when we realize this and make Him our center point, we get to live the way we were designed.

We are His kids, and He is a good, loving Father. The more we “see” Him and get to know Him in our hearts, the more we realize the truth of Psalm 16:2—sincerely, we don’t have anything “good” outside Him. All our desires, even the simple, everyday ones, are wrapped up in Him.

Today’s prayer: Father God, my heart wants You. You are my goodness, and it is a delight for me to watch what You are doing in my life. I want to see Your goodness more and more. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Thursday be blessed, and may your heart come to know the affection of God at a deeper-than-ever level.

FRIDAY

Blessed Are Those Who Spend Time with Him

Psalm 16:11 (NASB)

You will make known to me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.

We were made for the presence of God, and that is where we are the happiest. There our hearts find contentment. Everything He wants and does is abundant life.

Whenever we aren’t aware of how amazing God is and how happy we are to be with Him, we need to renew our minds to the truth. Our thoughts need to change—because He really is that amazing and He really is that good.

Today’s prayer: Father God, thank You for who You are. If there is any area where I’m not seeing You clearly, would You help me? I want all my thoughts to line up with Your truth. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Friday be blessed, and may your heart come to know the unearthly, incredible joy of belonging to God.

SATURDAY

Blessed Are Those Who Go Where God Is Going

Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV)

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

Sometimes we think we know exactly what God is doing…but then something else happens instead, and we realize we didn’t know His plan after all.

What we need in those moments is His voice. Jesus said, “After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice” (John 10:4 NLT). In other words, we know which way God is going because we’ve heard Him! His voice removes fear and discouragement, and we get to walk confidently because we know He’ll never leave us.

Today’s prayer: God, it is very important to me to follow Your voice. Please teach me how to hear Your voice more and more clearly. Increase my discernment and tune my ears to You. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Saturday be blessed, and may you hear His voice in a special way this week.

SUNDAY

Blessed Are Those Who Remember What God Has Said

Hebrews 11:11 (ESV)

By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised.

What has the Lord promised you? Don’t forget that promise. Don’t let go of it. Even if a long time passes before the promise appears in your life, don’t give up! God is faithful all the time, and He has not forgotten you or the beautiful thing He promised you.

Today’s prayer: Father God, this is the promise You made me: ___________. I choose to hold on to this promise and keep believing You. You are faithful in all things, and I can trust You to keep Your word. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Sunday be blessed, and may you quickly see the fulfillment of what He’s promised you.
