Are You Called to Pray for Marriages? Come Join Us!

Do you feel drawn to pray for singles and couples? Do you sense how important godly marriage is, and you want to do something about it?

Marriage is a witness of what God is like. It tenderly reveals the relationship between the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. When a husband loves his wife and a wife loves her husband, their beautiful connection produces an impact. The Bible says that when people look at us, they see Jesus—they see the One whose name is above every other name, the One who made marriage in the first place.

The enemy’s plan is to destroy the marriages God created, because he does not want Jesus revealed this way. His goal is brokenness, while God’s goal is life.

Do you wish you had a way to gather with others and pray for God’s will to be done in marriage?

If this idea stirs your heart, please join us for our monthly BTO prayer meeting, where we pray for singles, couples, and the marriages God has established. Our next meeting will be Monday, November 6, at 8:00 P.M. Pacific Time.

Marriage Reveals God’s Heart

Leon and I started BTO partly because of all the pain we saw in the Church. So many marriages in the Christian community end in divorce, and this violent “tearing apart” damages the hearts of spouses and children. That is not what our loving heavenly Father desires. He wants to see abundant life in the areas where the enemy wants to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10).

Our nation needs Christian couples to be restored and start mirroring God’s love and grace. As this happens, other people will see them and say, “Yes! I can see Jesus in your marriage, and I want to have Him in my marriage too.”

Now more than ever, we need to stand on God’s Word, in God’s will, and pray according to how God created marriage—what He intended for a husband and wife to experience and enjoy.

Transforming Society Through Marriage

BTO is a family ministry. Our heart is to help singles have strong, healthy, godly marriages that will transform society. We really believe the best—and only—way to transform society is by turning our focus to what God created at the beginning: a loving husband and wife who walk in the fear of the Lord and deeply desire His will.

The Bible says to pray without ceasing, and that is what we feel God has instructed BTO to do more purposefully. We already are a movement that prays, but we are starting to pray more. We believe He wants a committed group of people to intercede for families, singles, and kingdom marriages.

That is the heart of our monthly prayer meetings. We are gathering together online to praise the Lord, thank Him, rejoice in Him, and declare His will for all the singles and couples who are called to display His idea of marriage on the earth.

Pray Like a Mighty Warrior

In Judges 6, the angel greeted Gideon this way: “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.” That is what we sense God is saying to BTO. We are not weaklings who are hiding from the darkness and just hoping for a better future. We are mighty warriors, and just as Gideon played a role in saving God’s people from an enemy bigger than they, we also have a role in this battle for marriages.

Do you want to be a part of the team God is building to pray and intercede for His will concerning marriage?

Jesus is already interceding for the things He has put on our hearts. We get to join Him in the prayers He is praying for marriage.

Something Better Is on the Horizon

One of the beautiful things about us, the Church of Jesus, is the unity of the Holy Spirit.

That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. (John 17:21 NIV)

The Church doesn’t have a great history of being united, but unity is still our calling. Unity will help bring the breakthrough we are crying out for. As our group comes together to pray for relationships and marriages, we get to be united in a wonderful purpose and experience John 17:21 in a new way.

We have seen the brokenness for far too long. It needs to stop, and healing needs to come.

Do you want to join us?

It doesn’t matter where you are in life: single, divorced, remarried, engaged. If your heart is stirred to pray for marriages—please come pray with us.

God’s will is pleasing, perfect, and good (Rom. 12:2), and He has something truly beautiful in mind for husbands, wives, and families. We get to fight for marriages alongside the Holy Spirit, who always wins.

God is doing something amazing and beautiful with marriages, and we are so glad we get to listen to the Holy Spirit and be a part of His plan.
