Real-Life Romance Takes Trust

Greetings from Becoming the One!
Dear Becoming the One family,
Many people step into the dating world believing completely FALSE ideas about love and marriage.
“The right relationship will be easy.”
“There won’t be any conflict.”
“The right person will complement my personality perfectly. We will never argue, and we’ll always be on the same page.”
“We will believe the same things and have the same goals. If somebody disagrees with me, they aren’t the right person for me.”
But those ideas belong in Hollywood! Real life romance looks very different and takes deep trust.
Yes, we want our relationship with the right person to flow naturally. We want to have a deep connection with them and enjoy their company, but even the best relationships in the world take work. And much of that work looks like trust: trust in God and trust in our spouse.
“I’m with you no matter what. Come what may, I will stay with you and love you with all my heart.”
That kind of commitment propels two people ever deeper into trust.
This month at Becoming the One, we’re talking about a culture of trust—trusting our Almighty God with everything: figuring out who we are, pursuing Him and the desires He’s put in our heart, dating, marriage, etc. Trust is the foundation of relationship: with Him, with our spouse, with our children, and with one another. Trust builds strong families and spiritual legacies.
Join us this month as we talk about this very important topic—as well as the amazing, beautiful things God has in store for those who trust Him!
Get ready! Good things are coming!
In His love,
Leon and Salomé for the Becoming the One Team
