Declarations for Comfort and Healing

Honor means more than many people think. Wonderfully, beautifully, it includes healing—the kind of healing that leads to your becoming who you really are.

This month at Becoming the One, we’re talking about a culture of honor and what that means for your heart. God is a safe place for you to find out who you are. He made you—so He knows. You don’t need to clean yourself up or become a better person before running to Him for help. He is the safest place in the world for you, just as you are right now.

“For the Lord your God has arrived to live among you. He is a mighty Savior. He will give you victory. He will rejoice over you with great gladness; he will love you and not accuse you.” Is that a joyous choir I hear? No, it is the Lord himself exulting over you in happy song.

“I have gathered your wounded and taken away your reproach.” (Zeph. 3:17–18 TLB)

With healing in mind, here is a brief list of biblical declarations that are true about you and the God who loves you.

Declarations for Comfort and Healing

  • I am safe with You (Ps. 18:2).

  • I am loved more than my mind can fathom (Eph. 3:17–19).

  • You come and rescue me when I’m in trouble (Ps. 107:17–19).

  • You think I’m perfect (Song 4:7).

  • You are my Healer. You want me to be healed (Matt. 15:30).

  • You are my Comforter. You want me to be comforted (John 14:26).

  • What You say about me is more important than what anyone else says (Ps. 56:3–4).

  • What You say about me sets me free (John 8:32).

  • I accept Your sound mind (2 Tim. 1:7).

  • I accept Your way of thinking (1 Cor. 2:16).

  • I accept Your peace (Isa. 9:6).

  • I accept Your protection (Ps. 91:2).

  • I accept Your rest (Ps. 91:1).

  • In every place where pain has blinded me, You are restoring my sight (Isa. 61:1).

  • Where I am trapped, You are setting me free (Isa. 61:1).

This week, spend some time listening to what God is saying about you. Open your heart to Him and His tender healing. Look for His voice in His Word, and pay attention to how you sense He’s directing your thoughts.

Beloved child of God, He is doing good work—in you and in the world around you. He is displaying His goodness and making Himself known. You are loved, you are safe with Him, and He is healing your heart.
