You Are Fully Accepted in God’s Heart
Your presence is extreme pleasure to your heavenly Father. When you take a moment to consider that idea—that just your presence gives Him so much pleasure—how does your heart respond?
Do you really believe it? Or do you have doubts?
Most of us don’t really understand how accepted we are because of Jesus. We might have a vague idea of His acceptance, but our heart doesn’t really get it. It seems more likely to us that we have too many problems, don’t measure up, etc.
“I’m a failure.”
“I’m not a good person. I try—but I just can’t do it.”
“I keep messing up. God probably doesn’t want me close to Him.”
“I am not loved as much as other people.”
“I am not accepted. I would have to be a better person first. Maybe then I could earn God’s acceptance.”
If something inside you says you are not fully accepted, realize the Bible tells a very different story. And the Bible is right!
Scripture says that God finds you fascinating. When He “found” you, He was so very intrigued. He was instantly delighted with you, and He knew He had found something good:
Long ago when I came upon Israel, it was like finding grapes out in the desert.
When I found your ancestors, it was like finding
a fig tree bearing fruit for the first time. (Hos. 9:10 MSG)
Scripture says that God made you faultless before Him. It isn’t up to you to prove yourself to Him—He proved Himself to you and made you completely clean. That is how accepted you are in His heart. He made sure you were accepted in every possible way.
Christ proved God’s passionate love for us by dying in our place while we were still lost and ungodly! And there is still much more to say of his unfailing love for us! For through the blood of Jesus we have heard the powerful declaration, “You are now righteous in my sight.” And because of the sacrifice of Jesus, you will never experience the wrath of God. (Rom. 5:8–9 TPT)
What God says is the final truth about you. If you’ve been struggling to believe you’re fully accepted and fully loved, consider the following declarations. Take your time with them, and let your spirit think about them.
“I am so interesting to the Lord. He finds me fascinating.”
“This is the truth about me: My presence is extreme pleasure to You.”
“Every time I think of You, it means something to Your heart.”
“Every time I even TRY to think about You, it means so much to You.”
“I am fully, 100% accepted by God.”
“You love me more than I think You do.”
“I delight You more than I think I do.”
“You deeply long for my presence at all times.”
“There is absolutely no rejection inside You toward me.”
“You think I am flawless” (Song 4:7).
Whenever you feel like you aren’t fully accepted, pause and remember that your presence is extreme pleasure to your heavenly Father. That is how He feels about you. That is the truth about you, and it trumps every lie.
This week, may your heart come to believe at a deeper level how much you are accepted!
