Steven and Victoria Trillo
Steven gave his life to God when he was 17. It actually came out of a painful breakup—he was heartbroken, searching, and that’s what pushed him to go to church. Over time, he realized he had been running to God mostly when he needed something or when he was in trouble. But one day it hit him—He didn’t just want to rescue him, He wanted a real relationship with him. That’s when he truly surrendered and gave his life fully to Jesus.
His favorite bible verse:
Isaiah 43:2
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.
Victoria grew up in the Catholic Church, and from a young age her parents instilled godly values and principles in her. She always knew about God, but for a long time it felt more like rituals and religion than a personal relationship.
That started to change in high school when she attended Valley Christian. There she was introduced to the idea that God actually wanted a relationship with her. Around the same time, a friend invited her to a Christian church in the South Bay. Walking in for the first time, she was overwhelmed by the worship and the love she felt in that place—it was unlike anything she had experienced before.
From that moment, everything shifted. She began to talk with Jesus daily and couldn’t stop seeking Him. Looking back now, she can see how every step and every divine appointment led her closer to Him.
Today, she’s walking with God not out of routine, but out of relationship. Jesus has become real to her, and He’s the One who gives her life purpose.
Her favorite Bible verse:
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
