Love That Heals!

Greetings from Becoming the One!
Dear Becoming the One family,
Probably most of us know somebody who ran off and got married to escape their home life. They were in a bad situation, and when they saw an opportunity to change their circumstances, they took it.
Sadly, many of these marriages end in pain because marriage, by itself, is not the answer to brokenness.
But the idea that marriage can bring healing is true.
Marriage does heal—in a lot of different ways! That is part of the God-ordained beauty of marriage: becoming whole with someone else.
Before marriage, you seek Jesus and work on becoming the one, and then He continues to mature you and wonderfully build you up after marriage, using someone else to help you.
Marriage can bring healing. But the way it heals is unexpected!
Healing in marriage looks like serving the other person. It looks like having a humble heart that is open to setting aside your own agenda to pour into someone else. Two people become one, both spiritually and physically, and as they serve one another, their healing goes even deeper.
This month at Becoming the One, we’re talking about a culture of service—the kind of service where two hearts constantly put one another first. Not out of duty or obligation, but out of delight, because they simply and purely love the other person.
When it is healthy, service comes from three amazing sources:
Experiencing God’s love for yourself
Allowing Jesus to heal your heart
Discovering who you are in Him
Those are the pillars of this ministry. We love talking about these truths!
And truly, if serving your spouse looks like those three things, no wonder marriage heals!
So, we invite you to join us this month as we explore a culture of service with all the joy and delight found in a beautiful relationship with Jesus.
May you see incredible healing this month! May God breathe on your dreams and cause them to grow and bear much fruit.
In His love,
Leon and Salomé for the Becoming the One Team
