Waiting Is Not Passive!

Greetings from Becoming the One!

Dear Becoming the One family,

This month, especially as we celebrate the resurrection of our wonderful Savior, Jesus, our hearts are drawn to the favor of God. His favor leads us into legacy, purpose, and a culture of patience, which is our topic for this month.

When we understand the precious favor He has liberally poured out on us, waiting on Him becomes so much easier! We can be patient because we know He loves us and that He will be faithful, no matter what. We can be patient because He has already won the victory, and He will do exactly what He said.

Patience is not passive. It is powerful.

It is a fruit of the Spirit, carefully cultivated within us by God Himself. It is a doorway to understanding His heart.

Some of us are waiting for our spouses, some for children. All of us are waiting for more of Jesus, for a greater outpouring of His Spirit, for revival to awaken hearts across the world. We are waiting for believers to rise into their divine destinies.

Above all, we are waiting for His return—for that glorious second coming, when He will reign fully and completely, and we will experience a world fully surrendered to His love and truth.

This month, as we journey together in faith and reflection, we lift up our hearts in gratitude. We thank God for sending His Son to rescue us from death. We thank Him for His patience with us. Even as we wait on Him, He is patiently working within us, helping us to know His love and shaping us into who we really are.

What are you waiting for right now?

While you wait, you get to live with purpose. You can invite Jesus into every area of your life—into your singleness, if that applies; into your marriage, into your family and home; and into the people you love who are still discovering their identities and calling.

Patience teaches us to trust that His will is happening, even if it looks like it’s not. When Jesus declared on the cross, “It is finished,” He spoke freedom over every sorrow, every anxious thought, every sickness, and every burden. Through His sacrifice, we have been given new life, and we are restored to the Father through His love.

His resurrection is our victory!

This is what we need: to live in the power of His resurrection, with His Spirit alive within us. During the waiting period, let’s encourage our hearts and remind our souls that the Holy Spirit is at work! He is making a way. He is guiding us. He is loving us every step of the journey.

The veil has been lifted. His presence is near. We can see, feel, and know Him more intimately than ever. We thank God for the patience He is building within His people.

This Easter, we pray a mighty blessing on every soul this ministry touches:

  • May you be filled with His peace.

  • May you be strengthened in your waiting.

  • May you be anchored in His love.

Be blessed in Jesus’ mighty name! Amen.

In His love,

Leon and Salomé for the Becoming the One Team
