Being Vulnerable with Others Produces LIFE

Greetings from Becoming the One!
Dear Becoming the One family,
Do you know God thinks you are wonderful? And He thinks this even when you do not.
He loves even the messy places of your heart—the areas where you are hurting or where you don’t like yourself very much. He loves all of you.
This month at Becoming the One, we’re talking about vulnerability—a word that makes many of us uncomfortable, but when done well, it is life.
Not hiding our weak places. Being open with God and others.
Letting someone see the depths of your heart can feel risky, but it comes with huge rewards.
When two people are willing to be vulnerable together in a relationship, they step into what God always wanted marriage to be: a full, rich union built on transparency, sacrifice, and His beauty.
Two people who choose one another this way can be emotionally open with each other and reveal their true feelings, thoughts, fears, and desires. They experience the kind of emotional closeness that lights up the human spirit.
That is the kind of marriage all of us long for, where we can see the deepest parts of our significant other and they can see ours. The messy places are visible, but it doesn’t hurt the relationship. Instead, we are drawn even closer. That is the beauty of vulnerability.
Find someone to marry who loves you like Jesus does! Someone who sees the messy places you’re still working on and chooses to love you more, because they know how wonderful you are.
In His love,
Leon and Salomé for the Becoming the One Team
