A Blessing for 2026

If you feel discouraged at the beginning of 2026, remember John 10:10 because it is what God is doing in your life:
I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (NIV)
I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow! (TPT)
I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. (AMP)
He is also doing Philippians 4:19 for you:
My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (NASB)
This year is not “same old, same old.” This year is new, something unique, and you will see your heavenly Father do new and unique things.
In 2026, God is going to do more than you could ask or think:
With God’s power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or think of. (Eph. 3:20 ICB)
There is so much HOPE in 2026. And it’s important we say “yes” to that hope!
At Becoming the One this month, we’re talking about family culture: how you do life with your family. If you are single, this is your family of origin. If you are married, this is your spouse and children.
One foundational piece of culture is your thought life. How do you and your family think? Every day you get to think according to what the Bible says: all God’s help, all His joy, all the good things He has for you, all the benefits of the blood of Jesus, all His healing, all His freedom, all His forgiveness, the way He has completely redeemed your past. Your family needs these thoughts—you need them. We place limits on God when we stop hoping.
So, let your faith rise up this month, and have great hope! God has wonderful gifts for you this year. Let Him blow your socks off with His goodness!
As 2026 starts off, here is a blessing based on God’s Word.
Try to read it over yourself and your family several times this week, especially if you’re feeling discouraged:
This year, 2026, is marked by the goodness of God. He has no plans for my disaster—He has plans to build me up and give me hope. He is pouring out His abundance on me and my family—more than I could ever think or even imagine. He is going to meet all my needs with Heaven’s abundance, and there will be no lack anywhere in my life. I am going to enjoy my life this year. I am going to see His goodness at new levels. This year is a new thing, and God will encounter me and my family in a new way.
This is not the year for despair—but for extravagant hope. Never be afraid to hope in God! He is your loving heavenly Father, and all His heart is for you.
