God Will Supply All Your Needs
What do you need today? Where is there “lack” in your life?
Even if your need feels relatively “small” to you in the grand scheme of things, Philippians 4:19 is still true:
My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (ESV)
That simple verse is a picture of your heavenly Father and how He feels about you. He is not about to run out of what you need—He is rich. His bank account is unlimited. He does not have a poverty mindset regarding your future. He is not deaf to your heart’s desires.
Also, He loves taking care of His kids! You are not a bother to Him. You delight Him at a level the human brain cannot fathom. He is so very happy to supply all your needs and take care of you.
Be CONFIDENT About His Provision
Here is how Philippians 4:19 reads in The Passion Translation:
I am convinced that my God will fully satisfy every need you have, for I have seen the abundant riches of glory revealed to me through Jesus Christ!
You get to be fully convinced of God’s care for you and that He will satisfy all your needs. You don’t have to hope He will or wonder if He wants to, but Philippians 4:19 is a matter of His heart and nature. He meets your needs because He loves taking care of you, not because He is forced to.
Take Him at His Word
Is it difficult for you to believe your needs are important to God and that He has good things stored up for you?
The Bible is pretty clear about Father God’s heart in this matter. If you have trouble believing He hears your prayers and wants to satisfy your needs, maybe you need to ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand His heart more. He means what He says in His Word. Let His Word be your guiding light, not your past or any of your fears.
One Way to Pray This Week
Here is a simple prayer concerning God’s provision and how He loves meeting all your needs:
Father God, thank You for loving me and treasuring my needs and prayer requests. Your Word promises that You will supply every need I have, according to Your riches in glory in Jesus. Therefore, I am not afraid to bring this request before You and then be confident that You will answer. This is what I need this week: _________. Thank You in advance for meeting this need for me. I love You and trust You, and I am so glad I belong to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Take heart, beloved child of God. You are so precious to Him that even your needs are precious to Him.
