Honoring God by Believing His Word

Happy November!
This month at Becoming the One, we’re talking about a culture of honor: honoring God, our significant other, ourselves, our family, our community, etc. One important way we honor the Lord is by believing what He says about us.
Because He is your Lord, bow down and honor Him. (Ps. 45:11 AMP)
As we start a new month, here are a few reminders of who we are as God’s children. Let’s honor our Lord by believing these things!
We are His masterpiece. He thinks we are a very, very good thing.
Verse: For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Eph. 2:10 NLT)
Prayer: Father, I agree with the Word of God concerning me. I am Your masterpiece. You say that I am good! You made me new in Jesus, and You have good things in mind for me. In the name of Jesus, amen.
We trust His love for us and rest in Him.
Verse: On that day Jerusalem will be told,
“Don’t be afraid, city of Jerusalem.
Don’t be so discouraged that you can’t do anything.
The Lord your God is with you.
The mighty One will save you.
The Lord will be happy with you.
You will rest in his love.
He will sing and be joyful about you.” (Zeph. 3:16–17 ICB)
Prayer: Father, I agree with the Word of God concerning me. You do not want me to partner with fear because of my past mistakes, but You want me to trust Your love. You are happy with me, and You are singing over me. Your joy over me is boundless. I agree with Your love, not fear or shame. In the name of Jesus, amen.
We are His special possession—the children He is pleased with.
Verse: You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. (1 Pet. 2:9 ESV)
Prayer: Father, I agree with the Word of God concerning me. You are pleased with me. I am not ruled by fear, shame, or sin. You have made me holy by the precious blood of Jesus. You have set me free from darkness forever—it no longer has any power in my life. I live every day in Your pleasure! In the name of Jesus, amen.
Beloved child of God, we are praying for you! This month, may you come to understand at a deeper level that when the Bible says you are fearfully and wonderfully made, it means it. That is how special you are to your heavenly Father. He created your true identity, and He loves that identity. You honor Him when you choose to believe what His Word says about you.
