MONDAY

Enjoy Your Day Today

Psalm 118:24 (NIV)

The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad.

Make a point of enjoying your day today.

Are you single? Enjoy being single! Because one day, you might look back and wish you had enjoyed this time in your life more. Why? Because every season of life is a gift.

Are you married? Determine in your heart to enjoy being married even when you and your spouse are walking through difficult times. Choose to delight in your spouse and fall in love with that person all over again. Loving your spouse the way Jesus loves you is an act of worship.

Today’s prayer: Father God, thank You for today and for the precious time to enjoy it! Thank You for exactly where I am in life and for all Your abundant blessings. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Monday be blessed!

TUESDAY

Resist the Enemy

James 4:7

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

You and I have a common enemy who is trying to destroy us. But if we resist him, he will flee. That is a promise!

Is there anything going on in your life where you need to resist the devil? Is your relationship going through a rough patch? Are you having trouble at work or at school?

Jesus came to undo the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). He wants to step in and help you stand firm against the schemes of darkness.

Don’t hesitate to run to Him for help and cast all your worries into His arms.

Today’s prayer: Father God, thank You that You see exactly what I’m dealing with today. Your presence is my comfort. Please undo the enemy’s work in my life and family, and help me to hear Your voice more and more. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Tuesday be blessed!

WEDNESDAY

Dwell on God’s Truth

Psalm 1:1–3

Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.

The Word of God is deep wisdom that can change people and introduce them to the One who is truth: Jesus.

Meditate on His truth until it becomes a part of you—part of the way you think and operate and how you make decisions.

If you do this, you will be like a tree planted on the banks of a river. In other words, you will have everything you need even in times of lack and hardship.

Today’s prayer: Father, thank You for Your Word. Please teach me how to treasure it in my heart so it affects all my decisions. Guide me, because I want to follow Your will. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Wednesday be blessed!

THURSDAY

Your Source of Strength

Psalm 63:1

You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water.

King David set time aside for God and sought Him earnestly. David knew where his strength came from and who his source was. For him, God was like a fountain in the middle of the desert.

This week, do a simple experiment and spend time with God first thing in the morning. Maybe you could get up a little earlier so you could spend time in His presence. Ask for His help and guidance for that day, and choose to believe that He is right there with you in everything you do.

Today’s prayer: Father, thank You for this new day I get to spend with You. I ask that Your presence would be with me every moment. Please help me to keep my eyes on You as we go through this day together. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Thursday be blessed!

FRIDAY

Encouragement for the Hurting

Proverbs 24:11

Rescue those being led away to death;
hold back those staggering toward slaughter.

Do you know someone who is going through a hard time? Maybe they’ve been struggling for so long that they’ve started to think there is no solution, and they are slowly losing their hope.

When we’re dealing with hopelessness or despair, our thoughts are out of order. Sometimes we need a friend to come along and gently tell us what God is saying, because we need to remember what is real in His Kingdom. “Don’t give up, believer in Jesus! God is better and bigger than you think. He is your Savior, and He has not forgotten you, and He is fighting for you!”

Is there someone you can encourage today?

Today’s prayer: Father God, help me to see with Your eyes, so I can know what’s going on and positively impact the people around me. Please give me the right words to lift them up and bless them. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Friday be blessed!

SATURDAY

God of Justice

Isaiah 30:18

Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him!

God is aware of every event. He knows exactly what’s going on and is deeply acquainted with every heart involved. When we’re crying out for justice, we can trust Him to come through for us.

Are you and your spouse or significant other going through a situation that feels unjust to you? Have bad things happened because of the choices of others, and it seems like there’s nothing you can do about it?

God is a God of justice, and He always gives to those in need. Don’t be afraid to trust Him with this battle that is causing you pain. You are His beloved child, and He longs to be gracious to you.

Today’s prayer: Father God, thank You for being with me. I want my every action to line up with Your heart and Your ways. Please deliver me from evil, and help me lift a song of praise to You even in difficult times. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Saturday be blessed!

SUNDAY

Great and Unsearchable Things

Jeremiah 33:2–3

This is what the Lord says, he who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it—the Lord is his name: “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

Are you facing a problem—with work, your spouse, your family, your friend, your bank account—that doesn’t seem to have a solution?

This is just a reminder that God is bigger than the problem. He created Heaven and earth, and He can show you the way you need to go. He can give you the solution you need—the formula nobody knows but everyone needs—to solve whatever issue is causing you anxiety.

It is time to cry out to God, knowing He will answer you. He will tell you “great and unsearchable” things you didn’t know before.

Today’s prayer: Father, thank You for being my solution. I trust what Your Word says, and I believe You have great things for me. Help me to hear Your voice and listen to Your guidance. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Sunday be blessed!
