Even the Small Parts of Your Story Can Change Someone’s Life

God is working in your life. What He’s doing may seem small or inconsequential to you right now, but it is a divine act, which means it is precious. It is worth thinking about, meditating on, and then—as the Holy Spirit leads you—talking about with others.

Telling others what God has done in your life is a special act of worship.

What you have experienced with Jesus is beautiful, even if it seems small.

Realizing your “God story” is worth telling is an important part of healing. Everything He’s done in your life is more powerful than it might seem in the moment. He tells amazing stories, and He is very, very good at weaving together a host of details that seem small…but end up being significant.

When we talk about what He is doing, we are worshiping Him:

Then those who feared and loved the Lord spoke often of him to each other. And he had a Book of Remembrance drawn up in which he recorded the names of those who feared him and loved to think about him. (Mal. 3:16 TLB)

Your story with Jesus is completely unique!

No one on earth has the same story you do. Your family, your history, your thoughts, your desires—you are unique, which means your testimony is also unique. Even the very tiny things lead to more of His glory being revealed.

Every earthly thing has a point where its beauty stops, but what God does has no limits:

Even perfection has its limits,
but your commands have no limit. (Ps. 119:96 NLT)

Your “God story” is truly marvelous.

What you have to say about Him—even if it’s just a sentence or two—will help show people who Jesus is.

This week, wherever you go, remember how Jesus loves the story He is telling with you. Your story has worth in His kingdom, and someone needs to hear about even the “little” things He is doing for you.

What beautiful things do you have to share?

  • How has God healed you?

  • What has He told you?

  • Which Bible verses echo in your heart?

  • What dreams has God fulfilled for you?

  • What have you discovered about His faithfulness?

Beloved child of God, your story with Him is so precious!

And someone needs to hear it—even if it’s short. Or messy. Or feels inconsequential. It is not inconsequential to God. He is the One healing your mind and heart, and you have the privilege of sharing your simple, beautiful testimony with someone who needs healing too.
