MONDAY

Peace and the Faithfulness of God

Romans 6:16 NLT

Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living.

Every day we have an important choice to make:

  • Will we trust in God and follow His leading?

  • Or will we listen to fear, which sometimes seems “louder” or stronger in our lives than God’s voice?

What we choose to trust becomes the leader in our lives. The more we listen to fear, the more it tries to take over.

But the more we listen to God’s tender heart and His quiet leading, the more His peace will surround us and fill up our hearts. We get to chop fear out of our thoughts and put God there instead.

What do you need to believe God for today? Something for your family? Your marriage? Your boyfriend or girlfriend? Let the Holy Spirit lead you—and rejoice that you don’t have to be a slave to fear anymore!

Today’s prayer: Father God, thank You for Your tenderhearted leading in my life. Please help me become more and more sensitive to Your Holy Spirit and how You’re directing me. I give you all my fears today. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Monday be blessed!

TUESDAY

The Faithfulness of God Toward Your Loved Ones

Psalm 25:8 TPT

When people turn to you,
they discover how easy you are to please—so faithful and true!
Joyfully you teach them the proper path,
even when they go astray.

Do you have friends or family members who have walked away from the faith? Or maybe they’ve started to believe certain things that are harmful and don’t align with God’s truth.

Psalm 25:8 says even when we go astray, the Lord teaches us the path that’s best for us. What love! Jesus put it like this: He leaves the ninety-nine to go after the one that’s wandered away. That is what He will do with you, and that’s what He will do with your family. He really meant it. He is faithful even when we’re not (2 Tim. 2:13).

When we see our loved ones making wrong or painful choices, we don’t need to wonder if they’re past all hope. God is right there with them to show them the way. They may or may not accept His help, but He remains faithful and true.

If you have any loved ones who are struggling right now, pray for them—with great hope.

Today’s prayer: Lord, You are faithful and true! I bless my friends and family members who don’t know You or who have walked away from You. I speak their names in Your presence, and I ask that they would be able to see You today. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Tuesday be blessed!

WEDNESDAY

The Faithfulness of God Toward Your Heart

Philippians 2:12–13 NASB

So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

Do you feel like you need to hide who you are and be very careful with your responses so people won’t reject you?

As kids, we often learn how to perform well and hide the parts of us that don’t perform well—those things that might cause us to be rejected if anyone saw them.

But God wants to come in and show Himself faithful in the very spots where we feel past all hope. When we put Him first in our lives, He will give us the will to follow Him and to do what He’s told us to do—the things that make Him happy.

Today’s prayer: Father, You see all my mistakes and yet You have no desire to reject me. You are faithful in the very areas where I’m scared and feel ashamed. Please help me to see Your love for me more clearly. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Wednesday be blessed!

THURSDAY

The Faithfulness of God in His Love for You

Job 42:5 NLT

I had only heard about you before,
but now I have seen you with my own eyes.

Sometimes in the busyness of life, we forget the “simplicity” of God’s love for us. His heart is for us. He wants us with Him. He will never let us go.

Whatever you’re going through today, take some time to remember the great love of God for you.

  • If you’re afraid, remind yourself: “I don’t have to listen to fear, because God loves me and He’s with me.”

  • If you’re dealing with a hard family situation, remember: “God loves me more than I understand! He’s with me, and He’s the ultimate powerful force in my life.”

  • If you feel overwhelmed, speak the truth out loud: “God is my refuge, the place where I am perfectly safe.”

Let your eyes “see” God today. Look to Him and trust Him with your cares and all the weights on your shoulders. Set these things safely in His hands.

Today’s prayer: Father, today I’m worried about ____________. I choose to put this thing/person in Your hands and trust Your faithfulness. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Thursday be blessed!

FRIDAY

The Faithfulness of God as Your Father

Deuteronomy 7:9 NIV

Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.

It can be really easy to start thinking according to the natural instead of the supernatural. The natural doesn’t see a need for faith. That’s the way the world thinks—there is very little room for God in its thoughts.

But your story is different—you’re a beloved child of God! He is your Father. This means the natural realm is not actually your home—you belong to the realm of miracles, joy, freedom, redemption, and indescribable peace.

The Lord will be faithful in your life, and you never need to worry He will be anything else.

What’s going on in your family today? What are you concerned about? Expect God to be faithful.

Today’s prayer: Lord, today I expect You to be faithful in my life! I look to You in hope, knowing You will never back down from Your promise of faithfulness toward my family and me. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Friday be blessed!

SATURDAY

The Faithfulness of God Concerning Your Desires

Psalm 37:4 NLT

Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.

One of the beautiful things about God is that He isn’t a system. He isn’t a genie or a slot machine. We don’t have to memorize the right words in order to get what we want, and we don’t have to think of Him as a wizard in a storybook.

Instead, everything we are is wrapped up in relationship with the Creator of the universe—the One who loves us and wants to be close to us. That’s it. This is a real relationship, not a religion where we need to know the right words and do all the right things.

When we put God first in our hearts, this is called delighting in Him. More and more we get to see Him as He is—learning the deep things, the secret things—and His awesomeness astounds us.

Intimate relationship with Him is the foundation of all our desires in life.

Today’s prayer: Father God, thank You for caring about the desires You’ve put in my heart. May You get everything You want in my life! In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Saturday be blessed!

SUNDAY

The Faithfulness of God When You’re Weary

Psalm 68:9 NKJV

You, O God, sent a plentiful rain,
Whereby You confirmed Your inheritance,
When it was weary.

Do you feel weary today? The Lord loves you, even on those days when you feel completely “disconnected” from His love. It’s a big deal to HIS heart when YOUR heart feels weary.

When we feel run down, discouraged, or exhausted, we need to do three things:

  1. Read the Bible. It’s the black-and-white truth that can counteract any lies we believe.

  2. Listen to the Holy Spirit, because He will remind us of God’s truth (John 14:26),

  3. Renew our minds to God’s truth (Rom. 12:2).

Don’t give up, precious child of God! He sees you. He knows you. Keep pressing into Him and waiting for His voice, because it’s only a matter of time before He confirms His love for you.

Today’s prayer: Holy Father, today I wait to hear Your voice. In the name of Jesus, amen.

May your Sunday be blessed!
